Little Story Teller

Little Story Teller was a series of storybooks, about half the size of the original Story Teller magazines, each with a 30-minute cassette. Together, they featured not only stories but songs, and activity pages full of ideas for things to make and do.

Special regular characters were created just for the series, including Morris and Doris the magic hamsters who guided children through a selection of classic and modern tales including their own adventures set in Magic Mountain, and a chirpy mixture of songs and nursery rhymes. Two binders and two cassette boxes were produced for the collection.

Available now on Ebay if you are still interested, my children have outgrown them so offering them up to a new ‘good home’ 🙂

    • Jessica says:

If you want all of the Storyteller audio stories download a converter for youtube and find all of these titles on youtube. I have downloaded the whole lot and am really excited about them. That way you get them for free and can enjoy them over and over again.

ps- I’m not just meaning to advertise in a selfish sense but hoped they might find someone on here who would very much appreciate them as they have been with us and loved for so long. All the best 🙂

  7. Vicstar says:

Mavis….. is there a reserve price? Ive just been bidding on your item but its constantly outbidding 😦

    • mavis says:

Hi, Thanks for the interest. I didn’t set a reserve price so if it is outbid that must be from a ‘highest bid’ from another bidder. Wishing you luck at auction and many thanks for the interest.I am hopefull they will move on to be appreciated by a genuine fan as they have been well loved and fondly cared for! Kindest regards x

  8. Vicstar says:

  12. Liz says:

I’ve just aquired the whole collection digitally (mp3s and pdfs) Happy to burn copies. If you’re interested, just drop me a line

    • Natalie Davies says:

Hi Liz I would really love the MP3 version of the Little Storyteller Collection, do you still have this?

    • Sophie Lainé says:

      Dear Liz,

I would be very grateful for 2 CDs. I listened to these non stop when I was little and still have some of the cassettes but they are getting chewed. Please let me know if you are still able to burn copies. I am in Belgium.
      Thanks, Sophie

    • Emily says:

      Hi Liz,
In a search for the MP3s of little storytellers and have stumbled across your post. I realise this was 4 years ago, but are you still happy to burn cds or send across the files. I recently found my old binders and my foster children are loving them. I have played bits on you tube for them, but would love them to have copies to keep when they leave.
      Thank you so much.

  13. Chris says:

Ok, first of all Google “utorrent” and install the program. Go to this address “”
Type little story teller into the search bar and in the list of torrents you will see
“[DL] The Complete Marshall Cavendish Story Teller Digital Collection”
Click on that and utorrent will open a window. Uncheck the boxes for the folders that aren’t the series you want and click ok.
This will download images for the complete set of mags and mp3’s for the tapes.
You can burn the mp3s to disks and print out the mags.
Since the mags weren’t A4 size, I’m getting them printed and maybe bound professionally for my niece.
It’s a home made way around it, but i think its the best bet as the complete collection seems pretty rare.

  14. Anne Edwards says:

Is this collection available on cd yet please. Can’t download as all sites have been closed down. Please …. need this collection as I can’t find a cassette player to play these to my grandchildren. Thank you
